I’m an artist, but not an artsy artist. What’s the difference? I’m pretty decent with tools that really guide me along and fill in the blanks. I’m no freehander and can’t seem to come up with concepts that flow well from my brain to the canvas. For that to happen, I need special assistance, especially from tools such as Click to visit this external linkArtrage.
I have recently re-fallen in love with this fabulous program. I was pleased to see how much further effort has been put into the software package since I first used the program a few years ago. My first downloaded and used version is 1.1 from 2004, and I still use it on another computer. The current version is 2.5 and it’s a beauty. Be sure to check out the Click to visit this external linkgalleries of great artwork. There you’ll see how the real artists use the program.
Using the free version (the full version is only $25 US), test your hand out at some quick and easy artwork. You may be surprised at the artist in you! Once you’ve created something you like, export it as an image file. Collect all your best work onto a CD and head to your local copier, print or photo center and make some wonderful glossy hard copies. You can make a limitless number of art pieces to grace your walls.
Have a look below at some elementary artwork I’ve created. I saved them all at a size of 640 x 480 and reduced them in size and quality for the purpose of display on this web page.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention, it’s good to see a cheaper alternative to Photoshop and Corel Painter. I hope it’s just as good. Cheers.
